New Delhi, Apr 24: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 64 to Rs 5,373 per barrel in futures trade on Thursday as participants raised their bets on strong spot demand.
Crude oil contracts for May delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 64, or 1.21 percent, to Rs 5,373 per barrel in a business turnover of 13,908 lots.
Crude oil prices rose in futures trade as participants raised their bets, analysts said.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.59 percent higher at $62.64 per barrel, while Brent crude was up 0.53 percent at $66.47 per barrel.
