Copper futures prices upsurge on increased spot demand

New Delhi, Copper futures prices rose 0.42 percent to Rs 893 per kg on Tuesday due to increased spot demand.

The price of copper contracts for July delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 3.70 or 0.42 percent to Rs 893 per kg in a business turnover of 7,957 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
