Celebrating both cricket excellence and environmental sustainability, Coca-Cola India and the ICC introduced the ‘Made in India’ National and Cricket 4 Good Flags, crafted entirely from recycled PET bottles.
These innovative flags, measuring 35 meters by 20 meters, were prominently displayed during the tournament’s national anthem ceremonies, symbolizing a unique blend of sportsmanship and eco-consciousness. Each national flag utilized approximately 11,000 PET bottles, while the ICC Cricket 4 Good Flags employed 2,000 bottles, all processed by Go Rewise and Ganesha Ecoverse Limited.Coca-Cola India’s initiative marks a significant step forward in promoting circular economy principles within global sports events. The flags, certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), underscore Coca-Cola’s commitment to sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and landfill waste.
