Castrol India relaunches Castrol Activ with 3X Protection, eyes strong market demand

Castrol India Limited has relaunched Castrol Activ, its flagship two-wheeler engine oil, with an upgraded formula (API SN) and refreshed packaging featuring Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. The new Castrol Activ offers 3X protection, addressing overheating issues that impact India’s 235 million two-wheelers, especially in extreme summer conditions and heavy traffic.

To drive awareness, Castrol has launched the #GarmiMeinBhi3xProtection campaign, with a high-impact TVC featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Set in Rajasthan’s scorching heat, the ad showcases Khan as a determined cop whose bike—powered by Castrol Activ—outperforms a rival bike that overheats using ordinary oil.

The campaign, developed by Ogilvy India, will roll out in 10 languages across digital, print, and outdoor platforms.
