British Schools to Share Climate Curriculum with South Asian Partners

The UK Department for Education has announced a new initiative to train teachers from developing countries—including India, Bangladesh, and Nepal—in climate education.

The program, called “Teach for the Planet,” will bring educators to the UK for hands-on workshops and offer remote learning modules. The goal is to equip teachers with tools to integrate sustainability topics into primary and secondary school curriculums.

The British Council has already confirmed partnerships with education boards in Bangladesh and Bhutan, enabling content localization and knowledge sharing across regions vulnerable to climate change.
