The United Kingdom has introduced a new digital nomad visa, allowing remote workers from around the world to live and work in the UK for up to two years. The move is aimed at boosting the economy through high-income earners who work online.
Announced by the Home Office, the visa will be open to individuals earning at least £30,000 annually and employed by foreign companies. The visa allows flexibility in living arrangements across cities like London, Edinburgh, and Manchester.
“We want Britain to be the most attractive destination for global digital talent,” said Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick.
The initiative is expected to draw tech professionals, content creators, and freelancers from India, the US, and Southeast Asia. It also presents opportunities for Indian workers and startups to network globally while enjoying UK infrastructure and living standards.
