Dilma Rousseff, a former president of Brazil, was “unanimously” chosen on Friday to lead the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) nations’ international financial institution known as the New Development Bank (NDB).
The Shanghai-based bank stated that Rousseff, 75, will succeed her countryman Marcos Troyjo.
The NDB of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) “Board of Governors unanimously chose Rousseff as the President of the Bank, effective immediately,” according to a press release from the bank.
