Bollywood’s ‘Pretty Woman’ Preity makes a stunning appearance at Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival is the epitome of fashion and glamour. Famous stars of the film world from all over the world flock to the shores of the French Riviera every year. From Aishwarya Rai and Aditi Rao Hydari to fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi, there is no end to the practice. Preity Zinta is in talks at the end of Cannes. After 17 years, Bollywood’s Dimple Girl entered the Cannes Film Festival. The actress left for the French Riviera on Wednesday. I have not yet walked the Cannes red carpet, but Preity’s first look from Cannes is already out.

The actress was present at the Cannes Film Festival to present the Pierre Angeneaux Excellence in Cinematography award to long-time collaborator Santosh Sivan. She was captured by Santosh’s camera in her first film, Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se (1998). The song ‘Jiya Jwale’ of the film has mesmerized generations after generations with a strange magic. Preeti is returning to the Rupoli world with Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming period drama Lahore 1947, with Santosh playing the role of cinematographer.

In an interview with DD India from the Cannes Film Festival, Preity said that Santosh’s talent in ‘Dil Se’ made her look beautiful, even though Mani Ratnam asked her to do a no-makeup look. He said, ‘When we were shooting in Kerala, it was raining lightly. You couldn’t really see the rain, but it was there. So after four days in the rain, my bones were aching, I had a fever, and my body was not feeling well. Santosh came and brought me the rasam and all the food and said, ‘Why are you not eating this? very hot  He was really sweet and took care of me’.
