BJP protest turns into clash with police in Siliguri

Siliguri, August 22: Allegations of rioting and vandalism have emerged following protests led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Siliguri. This demonstration organized on Thursday was organized by R.G. kar incident and demand for resignation of the Chief Minister.
Reportedly, the BJP called for a siege of the District Chief Medical Officer (CMOH) office in Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.
The protest started from Siliguri Baghajatin Park and moved towards Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad. Tension increased as BJP leaders and workers clashed with the police.
Reports suggest that police barricades were broken and protesters entered the office complex, where the glass door of the building was reportedly broken. Four BJP workers and a policeman were injured in the clash.
