Bandhan Bank has launched a new programme called ‘INSPIRE’ exclusively for senior citizens. The programme offers preferential interest rates, priority banking services, and doorstep banking facilities. It also provides life care benefits such as discounts on medicines, diagnostic services, and medical treatments. The bank plans to include additional features like direct access to phone banking officers to improve the banking experience for senior citizens.
Bandhan Bank has dedicated senior citizen desks at its branches to provide personalized service. Specially trained executives are assigned to assist senior citizens through mobile app, internet banking, SMS banking, and missed call banking.
Sujoy Roy, Head of Branch Banking, said that Bandhan Bank recognizes the importance of financial independence for all ages and has designed the programme to show respect for them. The bank is also offering competitive interest rates on fixed deposits, with FD interest rates of up to 8.35% for 500 days and 7.5% p.a. for Tax Saver FDs.
