Uber has teamed up with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to improve transportation services at Bagdogra International Airport, Siliguri. With annual traffic exceeding 30 lakh passengers and a 22% surge in air travel over the past year, this partnership promises efficient and hassle-free rides for travelers.
As part of the collaboration, Uber will establish dedicated pickup zones at the airport’s arrival terminal, supported by on-ground assistance and clear wayfinding guides. This initiative will not only streamline passenger pickups but also create more earning opportunities for Uber drivers, meeting the rising demand.
Siliguri is set to benefit from this development, with improved transit options for tourists and business travelers heading to key northeastern destinations via Bagdogra. As the major commercial hub of the region, Siliguri’s connectivity gains could boost local trade and tourism, strengthening its economic prospects.Shiva Shailendran, Director of Supply Operations at Uber India, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing the airport travel experience across India.
