The governor of Taif, Prince Saud bin Nahar, responded by ordering Green Mountain Park to be closed right away while a thorough inquiry was conducted. A technical review is in progress to ascertain the reason for the mechanical failure and whether safety procedures were appropriately followed, according to a statement from the Taif Governorate that was published in the Saudi Gazette.
