At Mountain Amusement Park, terrifying ride collapse injures 23

Green Mountain Park, a well-known resort destination in the picturesque Al Hada area, is where the event happened. Witnesses recounted a terrifying scenario in which the ride’s central pole abruptly retreated before collapsing, launching riders from their seats and striking onlookers. Passengers and onlookers were hurt as the ride’s structure violently toppled into the ground. Numerous victims experienced serious damage and fractured bones.

Ambulance teams, local police, and civil defense units were among the emergency services that arrived right away. Three of the injured were reported to be in critical condition, while the most were sent to local hospitals. Thankfully, there have been no verified deaths. Online videos depict the crash’s aftermath, with first responders working in the midst of turmoil, distraught family members, and injured people lying on the ground. The area surrounding the twisted wreckage was quickly blocked off by authorities.

The governor of Taif, Prince Saud bin Nahar, responded by ordering Green Mountain Park to be closed right away while a thorough inquiry was conducted. A technical review is in progress to ascertain the reason for the mechanical failure and whether safety procedures were appropriately followed, according to a statement from the Taif Governorate that was published in the Saudi Gazette.
