Assam Govt to provide 100 crore through MODI scheme

On Friday, MODI scheme (Most Outstanding District Initiative) was launched in the state, Assam to boost waste management and sanitation drive.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced about the scheme and also informed that the most outstanding district report including infrastructure improvement along with more criteria will be declared on the first week of April, 2024 and that district will be awarded 100 crore from the Assam Government.

Further, 2000 crore CCTV camera will be installed in the city, Guwahati. Also on August 27 details and guidelines for the scheme will be issued at the conference of district commissioners.
