Assam Govt decides to study Assamese muslims needs

During a Cabinet meeting, Presided by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and its Government has taken a decision to conduct a comprehensive socio-economic assessment of the indigenous Assamese Muslims residing in the state, Assam.

According to the sources, the decision is taken by the government to understanding and addressing the specific needs and challenges faced by this community in the state. Further, the Directorate of Minority Affairs and Char Areas will spearhead the socio-economic assessment.
