Assam Congress MLA gets bail after arrest for hate speech

Assam Congress MLA Aftab Uddin Mollah who was arrested for his derogatory remarks against Hindu, has been granted bail.

According to the sources, he was appeared in the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court where he was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs. 10,000. The MLA was arrested on Tuesday night and later on Thursday he was released.

Due his derogatory remark, earlier a letter signed by Congress President Bhupen Bara, the legislator was sent on Tuesday and asked him to answer for his comments. Further, it is also mention that if he does not respond, action will be taken against him.
