Assam Congress accuses CM for his remark in MP rally

Assam Congress leader Debabrata Saikia has filed an FIR against Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his hateful comments in Madhya Pradesh in Jan Ashirwad rally.

According to the sources, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on 19 September during the rally pointed out that 10 Janpath is the residence of Congress leader and MP, Sonia Gandhi.

The Congress leader, Saikia has lodged the FIR in the Sivasagar Police station and also alleges that the Assam CM had taken electoral rhetoric to its ugliest form in a country governed by the rule of law.

The FIR reads, “While taunting Sri Kamal Nath, a prominent member of the Indian National Congress about his Hindu identity, Sri Sarma has directly suggested that 10 Janpath should be burnt.”
