Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma was accused during Assam Assembly for receiving Rs. 10 crore from central government scheme and the accusation was alleged by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi.
In responding to the allegations made by the opposition on social media, Assam CM and Riniki Bhuyan both have denied to the allegations. Riniki Bhuyan Sharma has also threatened to file defamation suit against the Congress MP Gogoi.
Now, according to the reports, Riniki Bhuyan, has filed Rs.10 crore defamation suits at the Court of Civil Judge, advocate Senior Devajit Saikia of Kamrup Metropolitan and it will be moved on September 26.
“He did not do his homework. Getting approval for a project does not mean that a subsidy has been received. We will fight the case tooth and nail,” Advocate Devajit Saikia said.
