Seats in MBBS will deduct of 15 per cent All India quota, Central pool, North Eastern council quota, Royal government of Bhutan quota seats.
The deduction will be done due to reservation of seats for NEET UG students, for those who cleared the examination. The discussion is taken due to Assam Cabinet proposed 10 per cent reservation of MBBS seats for NRI/ NRI sponsored students specially who have cleared NEET UG.
Detailing about the reservation, seats will be reserved for six communities OBC, MOBC category (non-creamy layer) for the state, Assam.
Also along with it, there will be an increase of 3 seats each for children of tea garden/ ex-tea garden communities or tribes, out of which 22 will be for Bhrahmaputra valley and 8 for Baruk valley including Moran, Matak, Tai Ahom, Chutia, Koch Rajbongshi.
