Apple Tipped to Unveil iPhone 17e, Fresh Macs at Early March Launch

Apple Inc. is reportedly preparing to release iOS 26.3.1 in the first week of March, possibly alongside the launch of new hardware at its anticipated “Special Experience” event on March 4.
According to reports, iOS 26.3.1 will likely be a minor update focused on fixing bugs and addressing security vulnerabilities. The update is expected to follow iOS 26.3, which was rolled out earlier this month, and precede the more substantial iOS 26.4 update anticipated later in March or early April.
While iOS 26.4 is projected to introduce broader improvements across apps such as Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and CarPlay, it is not expected to deliver the widely rumored revamped Siri experience just yet.
One of the most anticipated devices at the March event is the iPhone 17e. The new model is expected to continue Apple’s strategy of offering updated hardware in its more affordable lineup. Reports suggest the device could feature the new A19 chip for enhanced performance and AI processing, along with Apple’s upgraded C1X modem and in-house N1 networking chip. The iPhone 17e may retain a 6.1-inch 60Hz display, slimmer bezels, a single 48MP rear camera, an improved front camera with Center Stage support, and MagSafe compatibility.
Beyond the iPhone, Apple is also rumored to unveil a budget MacBook powered by an A-series chip, such as the A18 Pro, rather than an M-series processor. The device could feature a 12.9-inch display, an aluminum build, and multiple color options.
A refreshed MacBook Air equipped with the standard M5 chip is also anticipated, focusing mainly on performance upgrades rather than design changes. Meanwhile, updated MacBook Pro models powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips may complete the next-generation lineup.
In addition, Apple could introduce a new Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, two updated Studio Displays with mini-LED panels, a next-generation Apple TV 4K with enhanced AI features, and a second-generation HomePod mini with improved performance and connectivity.
While Apple has yet to officially confirm the event or product lineup, industry reports indicate that both in-person and online announcements may take place in early March.
