As part of Amazon’s commitment to make the festive season successful for sellers in North East and across India, Amazon announced a 50% waiver on referral fees for new sellers joining Amazon.in from August 27 – November 4, 2023. With the festive season approaching, there is a massive opportunity for businesses in the North East to grow their online presence, with 81% of consumers keen to shop during this season.
The waiver aims to incentivize sellers, help them build a customer base, and establish a foothold in the competitive e-commerce market. The company also introduced a referral program called “Great Indian Referral Offer” where sellers can refer friends to sell on Amazon.in and receive rewards worth up to INR 11,500/-. Amazon has also introduced technological initiatives to make online selling easier and more successful for sellers, such as a Simplified Registration Process, Sale Event Planner, and New Seller Success Centre. Additionally, Amazon will conduct LIVE trainings for new sellers to help them understand listings, shipping, prime, deals, and coupons.
Gaurav Bhatnagar, Head of Seller Acquisition and Development at Amazon India, said, “With over 11,000 sellers from North East selling on Amazon.in, our focus remains on making online selling easier and more productive for them.”
