Aluminum futures prices drop due to weak demand

New Delhi: Aluminum prices fell by 35 paise to Rs 257.75 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday as traders cut their positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of aluminum for October delivery fell by 35 paise, or 0.14 percent, to Rs 257.75 per kg, with a turnover of 2,447 lots.

Analysts said the fall in aluminum prices was mainly due to traders cutting their positions due to weak demand from consumer industries.
