11th accused of Ramkrishna Mission land grabbing taking into custody from Siliguri

Siliguri, 10th June (Retd.). Bhakti Nagar police has arrested one more person in connection with the land grabbing of Ramakrishna Mission in Siliguri. The arrested person has been identified as Sushant Das (52), a resident of Milan More area of Siliguri.
It is being told that Sushant Das, a notorious member of the land mafia, was detained from Gandhi Maidan area on Saturday night. Subsequently, several charges related to attempted land grab were leveled against Das.
It is noteworthy that on May 19, people associated with the land mafia had tried to capture the mission property by using firearms and sharp weapons. During this, security personnel and others were allegedly threatened with violence to vacate the premises. Following this, Ramakrishna Mission immediately lodged a formal complaint at Bhakti Nagar police station.
As a result, law enforcement officials apprehended five KGF gang members in connection with the case and arrested three more after further investigation. Alok Das, identified as the mastermind of the KGF gang, was also detained. Finally, on the evening of June 1, the main accused Pradeep Roy was caught.
The recent arrest of Sushant Das is the eleventh person arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the land grab incident. At present the police are further investigating the matter.
