11 wounded soldiers were flown to Matli’s ITBP Hospital

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Hospital in the Matli neighborhood of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, has received up to 11 injured army men via airlift, according to the police. Dharali, Sukhi Top, and Harsil areas have seen extensive damage as a result of severe flash floods and landslides brought on by a destructive cloudburst in the Uttarkashi district. The Uttarkashi Police posted on social media on X, saying that rescue and relief efforts for those affected by the accident are still going strong in Harshil and Dharali. To I.T.B.P. Matli, 11 wounded army personnel have been airlifted. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reports that two injured individuals were safely taken from Dharali to the ITBP Hospital Matli.

Following a devastating cloudburst at Dharali, near Harsil, the Indian Army has initiated a prompt and well-coordinated Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) effort in Uttarakhand. The Indian Army is helping with relief, search, and rescue operations in an area that is isolated from the north and south by a fallen bridge and other road breaches. There are more than 225 people on the ground, and combat engineers are making their way to Dharali to remove rubble. In order to evacuate casualties and deliver relief supplies, three civil helicopters have successfully landed at Harsil, and the military helipad is operating. Due to a mudslide, the civil helipad at Dharali is still inoperable, and more than fifty individuals are still missing.
